“So I keep good weed, good vibes, good crystals
Lavender eucalyptus, mixing it with the incense, just to relieve my tension”
– Big Sean
Despite the recent crystal trend that is predicted to grow, crystals have been utilized for thousands of years all over the world. Yet still many are unaware of what they are, how they work, and what they are used for. Crystals are made of unique compounds of the earth, forming in the crevasses of the earth’s crust over millions of years and are pushed to the surface. Crystals contain thousands of different elements, making each one unique in its composition and purpose. Each crystal carries its own frequency based on their properties and have different purposes. Some of the purposes are listed below:
-
Healing the body and the mind
-
Meditation
-
Chakra alignment
-
Promotion of health
-
Combat Anxiety
-
Ward off negative energy
-
Increase sex drive
Each crystal has different healing properties based on its vibrational frequency. The same way people’s vibrations effect each other, crystals alter and enhance our body’s frequency with their own. This knowledge about crystals has existed for thousands of years. Ancient Egyptians used crystals for protection during battle, enhancing their sexuality, and guiding the dead into the afterlife. Egyptian royals also wore crystals for enlightenment, awareness, and aligning the mind with the body.
The knowledge and information about crystals is growing and people are becoming more aware of their special properties. As I have done my own research reading books, blogs, and academic journals, I have not seen many guides explaining each crystal’s properties, purpose, history, and chakra association. Due to this, I have created a simple Crystal Guide on 11 crystals with their properties, purpose, history, and the chakra they are aligned with. As you read through this guide, pay attention to which crystals catch your attention. As cosmic beings with unique frequencies, we are attracted to frequencies we need or are in harmony with.
